From September 16 to September 19, 2024, our partner Fraunhofer ICT attended the Electrochemistry 2024 conference in Braunschweig, Germany where the RECYCALYSE poster was disseminated through a poster presentation entitled: The Role of Structural Engineering in Supporting Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) Catalyst Materials.

There, Annabelle Maletzko had the opportunity to participate and network with relevant stakeholders from the industry and the academic fields. The main concept of the poster was focused on how water electrolysis with proton exchange membranes (PEM) can be the technology with the highest potential for the large-scale production of hydrogen from fluctuating renewable electricity sources and how to reduce the use of the different critical raw materials by support materials such as antimony doped tin oxides (ATO).

Electrochemistry is a successful series of conferences, held every other year. Scientists working in the various areas of electrochemistry joined to discuss cutting-edge trends and applications. The conference was jointly organized by GDCh Division Electrochemistry and GDCh Working Group Electrochemical Analytical Methods, DBG, DECHEMA, AGEF, GfKORR and DGO.
